Good read. It feels like perhaps Reed has created a culture that reflects the way he would like to function rather than a culture built around proven realities.

Great read. This reminds me of a place I used to work that had all of the bad parts of Netflix and only one of the good parts. So I left. I appreciate this analysis and look forward to reading more of your writing!

This is spot on. Netflix is basically adopting a cold, algorithmic approach to career development, which might be optimal in terms of workforce efficiency as seen on a balance sheet, but will erode and destabalize morale and employee engagement over time because most human beings do not thrive by being treated like competitive robots. There are not enough people in tech speaking truth to this. Thanks.
